What Are Google Sitelinks and how can we Remove ??

Google Sitelinks: Google Sitelinks are the links related to your website shows on google search result snippet. It helps user to navigate the pages easily. Google show sitelinks for results when google think they'll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn't follow google algorithms and are not relevant to the user in that case it won't show them. 

Here is the example of Dailykhoz sitelinks look like:


1. Provide a clear structure for your website, using relevant internal links and anchor text that’s informative, compact and avoids repetition. 

2. Allow Google to crawl and index important pages within your site. Use Fetch and Render to check that they can be rendered properly.

3. If you need to remove a page completely from search in google, use a “noindex” robots meta tag on that page.

How can we Create Google Sitelinks ?? We can't create Google Sitelinks manually either you are owner of website or nor a owner of website. Google creates it automatically if your website fulfill their guidelines.

When Google Launched this features: Google first introduced this features back in October 18, 2007 

Can We Remove Google Sitelinks ?? No, we can't remove Google Sitelinks. As per google announcement in 2016 this features has been removed by the google which you can demote or remove. Before 2016, you were able to remove sitelink which you don't want but after 2016 you can't remove. 

If Not then what you have to do ??  Google listed another three best practices:


1. Demote the pages which you don't want to show up in site link.

2. Can remove that pages permanently.

3. You can well optimize that pages.
